It's the end of the year, so it is time the celebrate the cool stuff we did (RPG wise) in the last 12 months.

What was your favorite gaming moment of 2024? it could be as a player or GM, as a viewer or fan, as a publisher or content creator, or anything else. It could be your favorite product of the year, or your favorite thing you made yourself.

Mine has to be how well my Arcland 3-part mini-campaign at Carnage (Killington VT) went off. It was a Barrier Peaks inspired adventure using Shadowdark, that turned into an awesome post apocalyptic science fantasy masterpiece because I had great players. Runner up was when me and old high school buddies did Origins together. The con wasn't great, but the AirBnB and the food and the time spent were all awesome.

How about you? What is your favorite RPG related moment or thing of the year?

My vagabond, in Vaesen, spent time training his dog to do special attacks during the in-between mission phase. Later, a fight in a cave against cultists wasn't going well until the pooch attacked the leader between the legs (I rolled 6 successes. The GM made it dramatic). The other cultists surrendered. Good dog! :D

Dungeon Crawl Classics RPG. Playing through Sailors of the Starless Sea and losing zeros left, right, and center. So much fun throwing PCs into the meat grinder. Favorite was throwing one down the well in the courtyard.

We managed to play on almost weekly basis from early January to mid July. That kind of consistency of play wasn't achieved by my group since 2019.
