OOTS 496: Responsible

I love OOTs... but I'm getting tired of ROY! I want the other cast members! :P (but I'm happy with what I get. :))
Eh, considering how much Elan we had (with the abduction) and non-Roy after his death, I'm pleased to see Roy. Especially, because we get to see another side of Roy, other than the 'sarcastic leader' role.

Cheers, LT.

I think we're getting to see yet another reason that Roy and his father have such a strained relationship. Frankly, I think this entire 'sub-plot' is precisely that. In spite of Roy's 'hatred' for his father, he still pursues Xykon. Now, in the meantime, we see that Eugene, neglected Roy, or at least his opinions, neglected his wife, possibly neglected a child to the point where he died in an accident, disapproved of his eldest child's career choice and then tried to atone all at once by favoring his daughter that is actually trying to thwart her father's plans (though admittedly, that may be unintentional).

This is kind of like Star Wars in a way; the real story here is about Eugene, we're justing getting to see it through everyone else's eyes.

Very touching. Speaking as a parent who has lost a child, it nearly made me cry. Let's hope Rich can play out this storyline with both wit and sensitivity - should be good.

Maybe it's just me, but I'm curious as to why the child was there. I'm not certain that people that young can reasonably make the conscious decision to follow the path of law and good. I would have thought that, being unable to choose Law or Chaos, Good or Evil, the child's soul would end up in Concordant Opposition, to use the Great Wheel.

Perhaps it ends up going to the sort of "family paradise?" Though, honestly, it's too touching for me to want to overthink it much. :)

In Rich's world, all children to small to actively make a choice go to heaven.

Well done, Rich. Well done.

WAAAAAH *sob* cry recover-wits-for-a-second

At least it wasn't his kitty or something. Excuse me.

*bawl*

You do sort of wonder how entire families can be the same alignment, what good heavens are if the chaotic-good members of the family are permanently split from the lawful-good members, etc.

BUUHHHH *snort* *sniffle*
