OotS #497 is up/The Grand Fighter [Merge Powers Activate!]

LOL. This strip delivered. Wow, I really love seeing equal treatment for PCs. ("Random encounter? Yeah, it's you!")

Cheers, -- N

Looks like Gramps - the original Greenhilt- took his sword with him when he passed on...Thats why Eugene sucked so badly.. he had a crappy blade.... one that Roy had to upgrade...

If you read one of the pieces of boxed text it mentions that characters of level ten or higher may not loose their class levels as petitioners. While I don't know about the mother, I do believe both Roy and his grandfather are over tenth level thus could keep their class levels.

V was 13 level as of this comic since he/she/it was only capable of effecting 13 people with it. I'd assume that Roy was at or close to the same level when he died.

one less, since Durkon is the same-ish level too, and the one doing the raise dead/resurrection on Roy.

"Frankly, I'm still surprised that he liked girls" was the sentence that made me laugh hardest this time 'round. It's always the smallprint that have the gems :D

Anyone else notice that Roy and Horace both had one shoe bigger than the other? I got a chuckle out of that.

No, I doubt that's it. Remember, up there, you appear as you envision yourself, that's why Roy's mom is still young and hot. What's probably going on is Horace can't ever imagine himself without his sword, so in the heavens the sword is real.

All OOTS characters have that. It's how Burlew shows perspective in stick figures.
