Understatement of the year. I was expecting something... awesome. But, at least we got to see Roy again!

I thought it was pretty much the perfect OOTS strip. Humour, breaking the 4th wall, and breaking the tension of the past few strips. It's a good sort of, "Yeah, things are awful right now, but they're gonna' get better!"-strip. And that whole anti-mage swing thing is pretty cool.

Yeah, I liked the first "page" a lot; Roy is always an upper. Also, "Mom-balaya."

The second page wasn't funny at all, precisely because they did do it already. I'd almost rather that there had been no acknowledgement at all.

I agree; I think this is the start of the rally for Team OOTS.

New anti-mage move, new ally (Roy's Archon is now working to help the OOTS), Roy is completely over his hang-ups about hugging his mom, he knows he'll see his brother again...pretty much 100% positive.

I thought it was funny that he managed to reuse the same joke in a different way, making it as much about uncomfortable silences and long elevator rides as it was about the actual joke.

Or maybe I just enjoyed it because I instantly imagined a million fanboys screaming out in anger, all across this land...Schadenfreude can make a good punchline, too.

I so want the next strip to be Roy waking up in a random temple mumbling "no, I didn't finish my mombalya" asking where's V and Belkar spewing at the sound of mombalya. Hayley's thought bubble "Mombalya?"
