. . . I just miss Roy, and have hated how the Order has seemed adrift without him. I'd like him to come back soon and get some main plot progress.

I can't believe Roy has been dead for so long - it's even more frustrating than the strips where Haley spoke in code!

It always feels that way, doesn't it? And, actually, in one campaign, my guy was dead for weeks!

I'm sure Rich has said before that Roy is the nearest thing to the "main character" in the strip which makes it all the more frustrating . . .

I cannot help but thinking that the reference to experience gain is an allusion to what we (or least some of us) are hoping for. There is after all, only one member of the Order of the Stick who will kill anything for XP. Killing someone higher level that you just means a lot more, which ought to make 'im go absolutely nuts. Not to mention that strip about character development, which can perhaps be taken very literally now, hehehe...

Not sure how you're expecting it to tie in. Personally, I think it was jus this way of pointing out that he's now 4 levels above Haley.
