Anyone else notice that Xykon's eyes looked kinda purple instead of red as he was near the Rift? Mind you, as a lich he is probably less vulnerable to the Rift Awe effect than a lowly raven familiar, but it made me go hmmmmm . . .

Actually everything that approaches the rift slightly changes color towards purple/violet because the rift emits violet light and Rich has to show that somehow. Just check the old strips with O-Chul and Redcloak.

A lowly raven familiar that gets its master's base save bonuses.

"Saving Throws
For each saving throw, use either the familiar’s base save bonus (Fortitude +2, Reflex +2, Will +0) or the master’s (as calculated from all his classes), whichever is better. The familiar uses its own ability modifiers to saves, and it doesn’t share any of the other bonuses that the master might have on saves. "

Still probably lower, but not by that much.
