I'm starting to think OotS is for paid readers only now. Honestly I'd rather read Ziggy.

The release schedule has been slow as of late. Is Rich still sick?

You can't beat the price though, and OotS is one of my favorite web comics.

OotS: You get what you pay for. :)

Wasn't an awful strip, the end joke was just really lame. Like others, I'm mostly just down on the slow rate of new comics.

Hope I can write this without ruffling feathers, but in any case, what I see in this thread was humorous (more than the latest Oots, unfortunately). The whole tone is like, "This thing sucks. Give us more!!!! NOW!!!"

So awesome. :)

It's getting to the point where OotS is as bad as Megatokyo, as far as new pages go.
Not really. Piro's lifetime average of 0.36 pages/day is better than Rich's 0.32/day--but the last 80 Megatokyo's have averaged just 0.2/d while Rich is doing 50% better at 0.3/d. And Rich sometimes pushes out multipage updates; I'm just counting the update numbers not the actual pages. (The 80 page test was chosen because I have the last 80 oots updates in my RSS feed, so I know when 654 was posted.)

It seems quite natural to me that the strips where nothing much happens would go over better if we didn't have to wait nearly two weeks for them.

(Well, from the goblins' point of view something very big happened this time, but it's not clear whether or how it affects the main plot. It doesn't tell us anything about Redcloak we didn't already know, or anything like that.)
