Somehow I think Tarquin won't go for the Snarl. Trying to use a god-killing monster for your own ends just seems like one of those overly-risky villain cliches that Tarquin knows better than to fall into.

Words that now apply to the OotS/Tarquin relationship at least as much as the Nale/Tarquin relationship which elicited them. This development will almost certainly cause grief for the party, and we can be sure Tarquin will maintain the appearance of ignorance for precisely as long as it suits him. Knowing Rich, however, that will be 50 strips longer or 2 strips shorter we think it will.

Edit: If I were to characterize it as a skill, I'd say Tarquin has max ranks in Information Asymmetry.
