Rich has really been on a roll of late. Some very funny stuff.

I have to admit though, I've never actually seen this spell used before.

That was really fun! I've seen so much trouble with that spell! :D

Te lates was when the low wisdom wizard of our party was supposed to report, but failed to convey anything intelligible at all!

I wholeheartedly agree. When Rich is on, he's really on!

I notice that my Wiz has been using it a lot lately. Now I just need some ranks in Sense Motive to see if the recepient is lying to me in the reply.

Nah, he's Elan's evil twin...the same childish mind, just bent on evil. So, you got a nasty 12 years old instead of a naive/innocent 12 years old.

Elan's mental difficulties are a result of his evil brother hitting him in the head when they were infants. Nale, not having an evil brother, was spared this. Keep in mind that Thog is the stupid Linear Guild member, with Nale the evil mastermind.

The irony is this happened once in a convention I played at. It was a large Living Greyhawk convention and the main event was an interactive (an event where the actions of the various tables carry over and effect other tables). Some of the tables had ended up traveling to Acheron and got some word on the bad guys' designs. They got a single sending spell to convey their discoveries to the other tables (who were all playing in a different room). So, they got together and carefully planned out a sending and the organizer brought their representative into our room to give it. Sure enough, they got about halfway through the message and "he has a nearly unlimited...."

At this point the organizer cuts in and says, "And now you learn that low level characters aren't very good with sending spells." It was hillarious at the time and the OotS brings it back.

Snort!

Sending is great both for practical use, and for short-circuiting that annoying "you have to make an appointment" kind of crap that some majordomos will pull on you. My epic level alienist will often bypass such losers with a few sendings, and if she still has to make an appointment, she is likely to keep pestering her target with more sendings while she's waiting!

She likes to issue sendings just to chat with folks. :o
