I'm going to assume you are referring to the mighty Flumph.

Yes, a Flumph it is, and a particularly depressed one...

The flumph is a running joke from the early days of D&D; it's a monster that came from the 1980 Fiend Folio, a Lawful Good creature which spits acid and flies by passing gas from its underside. Yes, it flies by farting.

It's also used as the picture for the definition for "useless" in the Oxford English Dictionary.

I beg to differ, the once lowly flumph was put to glorious use in Dungeon 118. No really, Tim Hitchcock's "Box of Flumph" is an excellent 1st level adventure.

I don't know that I'd call the flumph MIGHTY...
