First of all, I can fully understand your curiosity. I'm not sure the idea has fully sunk into those around the gaming table.
Second, this proves no one read the Rogues Gallery. I posted the background of this character there. It isn't obvious that he is going Ooze master, though.
My Oozemaster is true Nuetral. He's persueing the Oozamaster becouse he wrongly things it's his heritge. He was brought up a slave and no one is quite surte what race he is. He is very long lived, humaniod, sicly yellow tinge to his skin, and natural greasey hair. He was a slave to the clerics of Conitz (the neutral goddess of disease on the world). THrough decades of being a slave and slowling coming to understand her, he became devouted to her. One of the kindly on clerics recognized his potential and freed him as a slave, then trained him as a cleric.
As a cleric he has the Slime Domain, a domain no one else of Conitz has ever reportly had (it's a lost domain basically that is rediscovered through my character). Many of the other people, clerics and normal people, treat him with disdain and frankly do not like him. So, he has lead a very solitude life doing everything he can to serve his goddess. He is not a preaching cleric. He cares not for the flock. The other clerics have sent him to explore the world hoping he will get killed out there.
However, out in the world he discovered the sanctuary of two things and this goes beyond what I've written in the Rogues Gallery. He found the solice of swimming and just floating alone in the water with the sound muffled and the sun shining (for those who have actual done this in a peaceful pond or lake you will know what I'm talking about). He also found enjoyment doing alchemy. THe character is very smart, so has done well with this.
He is being played as a very devote introvert. He was a slave for about a hundred years (since a child) and even though he's been free for a few decades he still does not see himself as everybodies equal.
I haven't had a chance to play him. I'm jioning into a campaign that has been going on for a little while. I'm entering at 5th level (6th, technically cause I have a n ecl+1 race). Te character is completely done, the background is written up, but I need to expand on it. I'm also coming up with a series of vows for the cleric that he will never break.
I hope this in some way helps. I realize that everyone sees oozes as evil, and the oozemaster must be evil becasue its ugly. The character sees them as in imporant piece of the ecological system, and as misunderstood as he is. He knows they are dangerous, but with the proper knowledge they can easily be dealt with.
