Oozes and Dex damage

First Post
Most oozes have pretty low dex scores. (A gelatinous cube has Dex 1, for instance.) And they're not immune to ability damage, so there are a few ways to get them down to Dexterity 0. The effect this has is stated in two differant ways. Under ability damage:
Dexterity 0 means that the character cannot move at all. He stands motionless, rigid, and helpless.
and under ability damaged:
A character with Dexterity 0 is paralyzed.
The catch is that oozes are immune to paralysis. I'd say it affects them, even if I had to houserule otherwise, but is that what the RAW say?

A character with 0 dex just cannot move, they have no locomotion capacity. Even if oozes have paralysis immunity, they still have no way to move about, that's what 0 dex means.

So yes, oozes can be extrememly easy to beat if you employ the right tactics.

A similar question came up recently as regards mental ability damage.

If a creature is immune to unconsciousness, and has his Int, Wis, or Cha drained to 0, what is the result?

Intelligence 0 means that the character cannot think and is unconscious in a coma-like stupor, helpless.

Wisdom 0 means that the character is withdrawn into a deep sleep filled with nightmares, helpless.

Charisma 0 means that the character is withdrawn into a catatonic, coma-like stupor, helpless.

but

A character with Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma 0 is unconscious.

If you're immune to unconsciousness and have your Cha drained to 0, are you withdrawn into a catatonic, coma-like stupor, helpless... but not unconscious?

You know, that's actually a pretty compelling picture in my mind. Imagine being awake, and yet hounded by nightmares interacting with the world you can see... being utterly helpless to do anything, yet still recieving sensory information, and mixing that sensory information with nonsense...

If I got to rewrite them...

Intelligence 0 means that the character cannot think, gains the mindless quality and operates on instinct, driven by simple needs such as food, resting in a safe place and reproduction. It loses proficiency with all weapons except for its natural weapons and unarmed strikes. Allies that attempt to restrain him are attacked and fled from.

Wisdom 0 means that the character becomes dangerously insane, generally acting as if Confused {determine ‘caster’ randomly amoung present creatures including itself, walls, floors and other objects as well]. If hungry it will attempt to eat whatever fits in its mouth, heedless of danger. If tired, it would lay down to rest, heedless of the situation.

Charisma 0 means that the character’s soul is obliterated. Raise dead and Reincarnate cannot restore such a character to life.
