OPEN CALL: Charity PDF for Katrina Victims

If anyone is interested, I just finished and submitted a swamp-based bandit gang--with a twist, of course. You get fleshed out NPCs, two new magic items, a new spell, and a new monster. What more could you want? Oh, and did I mention the new monster provides backup vocals?

The Forge Studios would like to join this project. What arts are still needed from this list?

Werespider cannibals.
Angry, grim looking elven shaman performing a ritual in a field .
Images of the swamp.
An alligator gar (new monster - large fish).
A dwarf and and an elf doing 'the dozens'.
A half-orc bard singing a blues song, strumming a guitar, with a lucky charm hanging around his neck.
A day on the streets of the 'The Marie Louveau', a huge part casino and cruise ship/part space city-station . Looks kind of like the French Quarter with an artificial hemisphere overhead and citizens walking the streets wearing futuristic clothing.
A pirate captain with a peg leg, eye patch and hook.
A nervous looking parrot.

Regards
Z

I'd like to suggest to Cathix that 'donated' artwork be posted to this thread as further inspiration.

And also cause I really want to see the Giant Crawdaddy.

Yep, we got that, and it's going in! Thank you for your quick and generous response.

In about another week and a half when I have the bulk of the contributions, I'll start a public Photobucket gallery of it all and post the link here. :D

(no one's done the Crawdaddy yet, but I hear it's in the works)

We still need:
Werespider cannibals.

A nervous looking parrot.

And now we also need:

A band of human children traveling in the woods: one six year old boy leading them, a 3 yr old girl, 2 yr old boy, 14 month old toddler, and a 4 yr old boy. Of various ethnicities. The leader should be holding a 5 month old baby over one shoulder and using a small tree branch as a walking stick. He should look wise beyond his years, (all good npc's, not evil)

*wipes brow* Annnnnd:

"Greck (this word is singular and plural) have just enough intelligence to be useful but not enough to be dangerous to their creator. Standing at just over 3 feet in height, the greck appears to be a humanoid covered in a thick layer of moss, barbs, and mud. It has no mouth or ears, but does bear a pair of eyes in the form of sunken black pits lit dimly by a malicious crimson glow."

That's the list, for now. *collapses*

P.S. We do not expect any one company or artist to provide all of these illustrations.

Adding to the artwork request, I'm working on a small fantasy "adventure" with the PCs coming to the aid of a village/town struck by a flash flood. Was thinking of a picture of PCs standing in waist-high water, looking overwhelmed at the carnage displayed. It is a bit somber, but the goal of the adventure is to create something out of the ordinary to help us all understand what these people are going through...and play a good game at the same time. Point the camera downwards, so to speak, with their faces hidden underneath hoods.

If this sounds good to both Deb, Sean, and someone who can draw it, I'd be happy to work with the person on putting it all together so that it fits the adventure.

Monstrous Crawdad is ready!

Wulf, I sent you a pdf of the finished pic. I hope you like it, and thanks for the idea :)

Cathix, please let me know the appropriate file format and resolution. I'll get the finished product to you ASAP.

tadk, thanks for the compliment (head swells), which one are you going to use?

I would like to say, I am happy to be working with such fine folks!

Well, as a writer/designer, I am pretty well-versed in D&D 3.5, and I can turn out flavour text pretty quick. Do you all still need any writing submissions? If someone needs help with something, I can pop out spells and feats pretty quick, just let me know. Otherwise, I'm sure I can drag something out of the bowels of my harddrive and dust it off...
