OPEN CALL: Charity PDF for Katrina Victims

The LA power outage today has knocked my e-mail service offline for the moment, so I apologize by doing this via the board, but I just saw this thread. Are you still in the market for more prestige classes? I've got a lizard man swamp master prestige class I could clean up and get sent your way in the next day or two if so.

Swamp Man

Hey
That sounds really cool as I am working on a Mutant Croc Man monster / NPC right now

Mostly done need to get it all typed in and look it over
Might want to give him a class or three in Swamp Master as well.

I am working on an introduction to the entire book, also some general information about Bayous for us who have not been in one for real as well as an encounter chart and 4 some monsters for it. Lastly I hope to get a list of reference materials gaming and non-gaming for the New Orleans area. Such as the James Bond movie You Only Live Twice and the book The Rainbow and the Serpent. If anyone wants to help me with the reference section feel free to IM or email me with it and your name so I can give you credit. I want to send it to Dog Soul by the 20th giving me a week more for that one.

Ok I'm in. I'd like to do the half-orc if that's still possible. What setting/time period is he in?

Someone already wrote up a half-orc mime, and another person is just about done with the illustration to go with it.

The idea came from taking d20 fantasy archtypes and combining them with things a la Mardi Gras/ historic New Orleans.

So, for instance, something from column A: ogre, bugbear, gnoll, night hag, pixie, kobold

Then add it to something from column B: voodoo consultant, bartender, madame, witch doctor, restaurateur, dancer, musician

We're doing this particular exercise more for comic value than anything else, but it should work mechanically, whatever you do. Try not to make something too heavy-handed/powerful, but powerful enough to be an unexpected snag in a group of PC's day/week/month.

And thanks for wanting to get involved! :)

Absolutely! Clean 'er up and ship 'er out. The deadline for contributions is the end of September. The book is almost 100 pages - and it might have gone over that point this past week. I'm devoting Thursday to compiling all the latest entries and get a better idea of the new page count. :D

Ok, if you update the needed illustration list I'll get to work on something else.

It's been a while since I've seen any Bond movies, but wasn't You Only Live Twice set in Japan?

Not trying to criticize or anything, just trying to refresh my poor memory. :p
