OPEN CALL: Charity PDF for Katrina Victims

Now you know why I am asking for help. Thunderball is my fave Bond Movie of all with the NO one the second place. I plead lateness and off the top of my head typing. Will update my starting file though thanks guys. got my encounter chart started as well. Should get it typed in and solicit if anyone wants to critique. Need to make it as good as we can and short time frame. blah blah blah. Tad

Sorry if these are stupid questions, but I'm pretty new to this. Is there a specific file fomat that we need to send work in? Is there a specific way that we need to format the text (columns, etc.?)

I should have posted in here sooner with my idea. Hope it's still needed. I'm working on Lily White's Hands, a pair of disembodied members from a quadroon girl (a maid) working for a prominent family who was mysteriously killed. They become corporeal any time someone works magic near them. They might help the magic worker, or they might not....

When in doubt:

Send in RTF format, single column.

Use the standards for Dungeon and/or Dragon magazine, if you can find them online, they used to be easier to locate.

That being said, I totally forgot to do any of that. Apologies to Cathix.

It's awesome that giant crawfish will be represented. Any love for giant catfish?

My god, you're right. You're absolutely right. Anybody for creating 'Blackened Catfish"? A giant fish with some sort of evil, demonic template on it? Come on, you know you want to. ('you' being a collective term)

While Biggus' recommendations are sound, I can grab text from nearly any format and work with almost any type of file. (put in four years at Kinko's)

However, if you want to really make me happy, .doc files, no fancy formatting, single column would be nifty.

This sounds wonderfully cool. Will you be doing this for fantasy or urban arcana/modern d20?

orc mime

I'm all over that orc mime...

Wow, that sounds aweful.

BTW, my vote is for Cajun Arcana. It has a nice ring, y'know?

How 'bout art format? .25 page? .5 page? file type?

Hey, sorry everyone - the orc mime has already been both illustrated and written up. There are many other possibilities however, as I mentioned in a post further up.

Cajun Arcana does sound cool.

Here's how I stand regarding art. I never ask for quarter/half/or full page. I'm never sure where I'll be using an illustration, if I'm going to cut it free from its background and give it a clipping path, if I'm going to want to re-use it elsewhere in the book as a close up, so.... I ask you do any art as big as you're comfortable, make sure the scan is 300 dpi and send us either a jpg or a tif if the latter doesn't make the file too honking big to email.

There, that's my 75 cents for the morning. :)
