I've got a campaign management tool I put together in Excel that needs revising, so I'm considering doing the revision in OpenCalc (not for certain, but that's one of the options I'm exploring). The main reason for that choice is that I'm trying to "diversify" my software usage so I'm not so entrenched with Microsoft (I'm not anti-MS, but I don't want everything I do to depend on Microsoft software, either). However, I haven't used OpenCalc enough yet to really get a good feel for how it compares to Excel. It looks pretty close, but can anyone with extensive experience using both offer some insight as to how they compare? Particularly between Excel's VBA and OpenCalc's StarBasic, since my utility uses a lot of VBA at present.
The other reason I'm considering OpenCalc is that, as far as I know, whatever I make should work on Windows, Linux, Mac (I think there's a Mac version), or any other OS that OpenOffice runs on.
