I'm building a subtle assassin to harrass my pcs.

The task is to make a character that appears prefectly harmless, and is specialized in killing opponents before they realize otherwise. An assasin type not really meant for combat, but rather for quiet and quick assassination.

Here is a sample of what I'm talking about.

Unarmed Gnome.

Aristocrat one. (sounds like an aristocrat, acts like an aristocrat, profiecent in all martial weapons, simple weapons and all shields)
Cleric of Wee Jas one, death domain
Worlock one, hideous blow
Dred necromancer one, (carnal Touch)
soul knife one.
Practiced spell caster feat (cleric)

Attack sequence one.
cast inflict light wounds in alley and hold.
Apprach target on crowed street with hands under robe.
punch target in back for subdual (1d4 ?), activating inflict (1d8 +4), hideious blow (1d6), and carnal touch (1d8).
Second round, touch attack death touch (3d6, if subject has fewer hp than rolled it is dead)

Attack sequence 2
same as above, only introducing himself and shaking hands.

Other options, soul knife for melee and eldrich blast for ranged.

Thoughts? other possible harmless looking builds?

There's a feat in PHBII called 'Fade Into Violence', where you can force an attacker to attack someone else by appearing unthreatening.

There's an exotic weapon in Races of Stone - the Gnome Quickrazor - that's good for being armed while appearing not to be...

Four different types of magicy-stuff?

How about: Aristocrat 1/Monk 1/Rogue 1/Cleric of Wee Jas 1/Dread Necromancer 1

Your Attack Sequence One stays the same, but substitute normal damage for subdual damage on the punch (and increase it with Improved Natural Attack and/or Supreme Unarmed Strike and/or a Monks Belt), add in Stunning Fist, and substitute sneak attack for Hideous Blow. In a worst case scenario, your unarmed AC is better, too.

Melee-wise, you're a monk. Carry shuiriken for ranged attacks (flurry+sneak attack=ouch).
