Privies and Chamber Pots

Privies and Chamber Pots for the d20 system by Mystic Eye Games is going to be the best book ever. I got my review copy today and read it through, now I have no affiliation with Musty Eye, so this is a none bias 5/5 for this new and innovative title.

In it you explore:
How outhouses and dark ages privies were built.
A rection table for servants and their reactions to chamber pot removals and privy cleanings.
An in depth study of diseases and maladies surrounding the old time outhouses and latrines.
Plus much more!

In closing: I was thrilled to read the preview of the fantastic new product that will come out by MUG in late 2010.

Again, a 5/5

((Sorry for the sick humor but this needed some lightening up))

Argghhh! You stole my idea! The next in the series after "Seven Strongholds" and "Seven Cities" was going to be "Seven S---..." Seven unique fantasy latrines, each with a fully developed cast of colorful NPCs, story ideas ("A magical item falls in, and a reward is posted for whoever will brave the alligators..."), and new prestige classes, skills, and feats (you don't wanna know).

Uh,...maybe we should just can that project anyhow.

So to speak.

;)

Oh, and let me add, our task/situation resolution system (complete with imaginative racial modifiers) was really going to kick your...um...

Michelle says I have to stop now. Before I dig myself in any deeper. Or wallow in it any more.

Whoof. Fridays.

Well, I am glad you think this is funny, John claiming we stole his idea when we all know he stole ours. Next you know he will claim it was his idea to come up with our upcoming d20 brushes and brooms supplement.

I found one good resource for identifying people over at the Pen and Paper site under the RPG database. Seems to be relatively up to date as I even found myself in it! :)

Hmm. Dunno how up to date Pen & Paper really is. Sure they've got me listed, but their list of my credits isn't complete. :p

;)

RPG Database

It is not so much that the database is not up to date, as it is that the database is pretty new (a couple months old), and is not yet complete. I am adding new entries constantly, but if you want to see books you have worked on added to the database, there is a "Submit Book" link in the main menu. Also, if anyone would like to add biographical info to your listing, there is a page for that as well.

I currently have a queue of about 125 books waiting to be added, so if a submission does not appear right away, please be patient. I am getting through them as quickly as possible. :)

I don't know about being able to make people add the company that they work for to their sig, or making them state it. I sure couldn't do this; in the past year I've done freelancing for a number of companies and it would take a good deal of my sig saying which publishers and in what capacity. My second reason being that there are indeed instances where an industry person may want to illicit opinion without revealing his own bias on the subject. Reviewing your own products, sure, I agree that this is a ludicrous practice - who'd believe you're being honest - but this happens so rarely that making a macro adjustment for it just doesn't make sense.

The answer seems pretty simple. When commenting or offering opinion on one of your products, let everyone know your affiliation, when eliciting responses without offering opinions, let your conscience be your guide. If you think knowing who you are might skew the results either up or down, then don't identify yourself if you don't want to. I don't believe anyone was suggesting forcing people to identify affiliations on these boards, it's really more a matter of etiquette. It's rude to say how great your game is without letting people know it's yours, in my opinion.
