Re: Re: Re: Opinions on a DM-players conflict last night...
Essentialy, the gist of it is, we were trying to get money to get a friend rezzed (There are normaly 7 of us). We were short on money, but we had heard there was a treasure in a cave a few days north of town, but that it had a fierce guardian. We got to the cave, found what we assumed was the guardian (a dragon)... Tough fight, but we got some really lucky rolls. Really lucky. We defeated the dragon. We tried to go in the cave, a magical barrier almost killed one of us. Took us two days of work to get the barrier down. We got the treasure, loaded it into the cart, and were going to head home in the morning. No such luck.

It's possible that the party was in WAY over its head by trying to go into the cave, and either didn't heed the DM's hints to that effect, or there were no hints at all. At present, we have no data on that, but the DM did (for some reason) expect the party to be able to beat it.
