Opinions welcomed: Book of All Spells

Players Handbook (selectively)
Dungeon Masters Guide (selectively)
Monster Manual (you better hope selectively)

Those are the only books my players can expect to see used or consult. Lots of other things might happen but they are _all_ at my discretion as DM. If they want to DM, great! They can make their own rules.

If said Bard (a few posts above) has all the wands/staffs/scrolls loot in the party and the Wizard don't?

I'm not in the game, I have no idea why a character might have all the magical items and wizard has none. Maybe the Bard just beat the wizard in a game of poker. Maybe the Wizard got a Book of Intellenge +5 and bard got the other stuff to keep things even. MAybe the wizard has lotss of spells in his spellbook and doesn't feel he needs the versitily of allt hese extra items but the Bard does. I have no idea the circumstances beyond it, it could be a munchkin, some magic hoarder not allowing the wizard to play with any of the toys. Who knows? And frankly, who cares? :\

Bard has Wis 9. He loots everything and grabs all the magical stuff because he is "curious". He then procedes to use all unidentified things in front of everyone. One of these days its going to be a wand of "circle of death" and he'll kill the entire party. He then keeps it all. Wizard goes WTF???

Rebuke would be pretty funny too. Especially if they command him to CDG himself. Lich template is like 5-8 LA, so this is not inconcievable.

Correct me if I am wrong, but aren't undead immune to CdG? I know they are immune to crits, and I thought they were immune to CdG as well...

Maybe I should have expanded

As a group everyone decided to allow one "other" book allowable for their character. Since we're up in Epic levels now, you pretty much need every edge you can get when going against CR 20+ all the time. Also, I wouldn't call the player a munchkin, because he does rp in character all the time, but he is a min-maxer...which is what we all are even if we don't want to admit it. I mean, seriously we all want the best character we can create correct? So anyways, back to the prior question. What would you have done if your wizard could fling 200 daggers at your main villain for the game every round?

No, I want a character I can have fun with first and do interesting things.

flatly said no to the spell, vetoed it right there and then
