Maybe it's because I'm a bloody minded punk, but my first thought would have been to press the attack on Tsukiko. She's effectively grappled, and Haley likely has Precise Shot, so a few hits likely would've knocked her down.

Of course, Tsukiko would get back up again, one way or another, but hey.

I assume the cat had the feat Mage Slayer. Like the orb spells Tsukiko was using, it's from Complete Arcane.

The cat got gypped. As a Tiny creature, it threatens no squares, and Mage Slayer only affects creatures in squares you threaten...
