Hmm.. (my MM knowledge is weak) but are golems and the such immune to some of those "Death" effects like finger of death? If so, Roy (as a golem) could be more survivable against Mr Evil Skull Face.

Golems normaly are immune vs. nearly all spells.

Fun comic. Belkar got some great lines, Celia still comes across as more naive than Elan, and Roy is going to get more interesting really quickly by the looks of things.

Golems aren't sentient. They're bound with elementals inside of them.

So, Roy would be a walking automoton, not Roy.

Only if Xykon has entirely neglected the school of Conjuration. The damage-dealing spells from that school have SR: None, which means they affect golema just as easily as anything else.

Well he is a Sorcerer that favors necromancy and evocation spells, so yeah that is totally possible.
