Almost certainly not; I don't see why people are trying so hard to read one into it.

You say that as though it hadn't long since already happened. It's been a story driven strip for much longer than it was ever a gag-a-day one.

(Considering the first hints of the change were back in #13, and it was already in full swing by #200 or so, and here we are at #705...)

Well don't expect a decent update schedule anytime soon. The guy who writes it has some type of long term illness that leaves him bed ridden for days on end. There may also be side projects that are eating up his attention as well, but that is merely a guess on my part.

Considering it's free (for us) entertainment aswel we really don't have any right to complain or get angry when he doesn't update it regularly.

I don't get where some get this sense of entitlement from.

It mostly comes from resentment over people using the term entitlement in a negative fashion.
