In terms of supplemental rules, the Iaijutsu Focus skill grants between 1d6 and 9d6 damage for basically nothing. In terms of feats, Earth's Embrace deals automatic critical unarmed damage (instead of +1d12 as illustrated in Complete Warrior) after each round you maintain a pin. Choke Hold knocks an opponent unconscious (and thusly subject to coup de grace) after maintaining a pin for one round. This is powerful stuff.

There are spells that let you do that kind of damage in an area of effect...or kill you outright. Some might see Iajutsu as putting melee classes on a more even keel with the casters.

Giving Melee characters abilities more on par with casters? Sounds great to me.

I never said it was so broken or overpowered that it stands up to what a spell caster can do at higher levels. Not even those pouncing uber charger builds can compare to spell casters.
