Original Psi HB vs. Revised?

Hey all. I am curious as to how much has changed in the Revised Psi Handbook. I have the original, and I am planning an Eberron campaign at the moment, and was wanting to use the Kalashtar (sp?). Is there a real need for me to purchase the Revised Edition, or is it similar enough to the original?

Can I third? Seriously, though, the Expanded Psionics Handbook is leaps and bounds above the original. The SRD could be enough to work with if you really don't want to spend the money, though.

Demiurge out.

This is so true that I cannot resolve try to sell my own copy of it on ebay. I would think myself of attempting to rob someone of his money... :\

I completely agree the revision is far superior, but you might want to be careful of it being too good at places.
Specifically, I would reduce "+1 DC per pp" energy powers to +1 DC per 2 pp, and force the player to choose an energy type to use with Energy powers.
But even such issues are arguably not game braking. An excellent book all around.

Well, there are some diehard 3.0'ers who refuse to upgrade to 3.5 who might have need of it. Just make real clear that it's not the Expanded book.

You can also download the SRD. As a start, at least, although it contains most stuff in the book.

Thank you very much Darkness. I hadn't heard that the Expanded PsiHB made it into SRD land. Very cool! I'm, personally, am hoping for a much expanded psionic combat section (including psis vs non psis) for my Dragonstar game.

It amazing how the simple things can just make you day! :)
