Orogs result from breeding male orcs with female ogres, whereas ogrillons are the offspring of male ogres and female orcs. It’s like the difference between a hinny and a mule.

Well, that doesn't feel like something WotC will be comfortable with in 2025.

I would guess they get renamed to something non-biodeterministic, like Orc Siegemaster or Beastcunning Ogre or something. Just unusual members of each society, but not something that -- by default -- could be the result of eugenics.

yeah the idea of Orogs being species of "Underdark Orc" probably works better, they're just orcs but adapted to a different environment. They could keep the ogre lineage background though - after all if tieflings and aasimars can why not ogres?
