Ever get pizza at Prima Pizza in Cornwall? One of the best pies I've ever had. And they FedEx anywhere in the country! http://www.pizzaofnewyork.com/main.php
My fiance got me one for Christmas last year. A little taste of home, since I can't find a decent slice of pizza in central Virginia

I'm cut-n-pasting that list of Mid-Hudson stores, and sending it to my brother, who lives in Brewster and goes over to Danbury for gaming books. Thanks for the research! [/B]

Here is the list where I found most of that info:

That might give him a few more options.

does your college have a cheer squad(cheerleaders)? If they do, then that's my suggestion for something to do.:D

As far as gaming, I've got no idea.

Pizza!

... a darn good reason to come home!

I read/heard/watched/ [insert media type here] that in the north east nearly 90% of Pizza business' are small chains and mom&pop types (the best IMO) ...

in the rest of the country it's over 60% (or more depending on location) chains ... Pizza But (mmm can I get some extra grease on that?) and Domino's. Must admit, Papa Johns is pretty good so far.

Scotchtown and Goshen had a really good one ... now if I could remember the name ... anthony's? ...antonios? *mmm food* p[edit: Alfonso's!!!! ... made damn good white pizza too, mmm garlic]

Food

Well now...decent food places I can suggest, at least in Middletown (which isn't all that far from Newburgh).

Two of them happen to be near each other, Joey's Pizza makes some of the best pizza in the area imo and it's a mom & pop type deal. The other is Go Go Chinese and Japanese, same deal for them.

There's good stuff at both, but the chinese/japanese place has better service.

Game in New Paltz

Hello,
And welcome to the wonderful world of the Hudson Valley. I host a game in New Paltz (about 20 minutes north of Newburgh). Several of my players are from the Newburgh area and we are willing to take on more players if you are interested.
In New Paltz, Ocktober Country is still up and running, but Dragon's Den in Poughkeepsie has a much wider selection.

I just might be. I'll talk to you again once I'm settled in next year and I see how things are going. Thanks for the offer.

Hey Saeros-
Next time you are out in town, could you stop by the Last Stand and have a taco for me, then go over to P&Gs and have a beer? Boy, I miss New Paltz on a Friday night...

Where is October Country located now? I'll be up visiting relatives in a couple months, and will try to stop by there. They used to be up across from the diner and Dunkin Donuts, but last year when I was through there the place was locked and empty. Where are they now?

Hey, now - the Book & Record in Carmel (where I spent my high shcool years) is where I got most of my AD&D 1st edition modules, and my monthly DRAGON mag. I'll always be grateful to it for that, at least.

I'm a '91 Carmel High graduate. I used to love Book & Record (& Ben Franklin's)... I went there alot when I was really little because my Mom worked in the Putnam Plaza & they always had really neat stuff. Unfortunately, I was just getting into the fantasy/D&D genre when they closed.

Hi, I just arrived in the Newburgh area, and my wife and I are looking to join or start a D&D group. Anyone know of anything going on in the area or around poughkeepsie?

Thanks
