[OT] Arnold to star in King Conan: Crown of Iron

Except that REH's Conan is not a gigantic mass-monster bodybuilder, shaved down, etc. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed Conan the Barbarian immensely, and I enjoyed Ahnuld in it, but it's not the Conan Robert E. Howard wrote.

Yes it is correct that REH described Conan as an athletic youth with keen eyes and a sharpe mind

Arnold was described as an athletic youth with a 'perfect physique' - he was never actually the giant mass-monster bodybuilder you imply (except maybe when posing for competition)

and lets face it - the way 90% of the Western World imagines any 'Barabarian' is as a well muscled Conan and the way we imagine Conan is as Arnold

anyhmmm I can't wait to see Conan the King and the spin off TV series - the Adventures of Young Conan...

Thank you for blatantly stating both:
a) the obvious
and
b) your narrow-minded insistence that a major motion picture must be exactly like a book, or you will not be able to escape your preconceived ideas.

And thank you for clearly proving the following:

-Let's please not return fire, especially on an issue that's three years old now. Thanks. -Henry

Necropost powers activate...

Was fun 2 year variance too. So it almost looked normal.

Anycase, any news on the Conan front?

I completely didn't bother to look at the dates. So then, I was wondering how they were doing this, what with him being all governory now. I guess it's not happening after all?
