[ot] Baseball: Texas Rangers Suck!

The reason Texas sucks is because they blew all their money on "Mr. Home Run" A-Rod, when for the same price, they could have bought a WHOLE TEAM of great players (like the Seattle Mariners have). Mariners swept the series tonight.

Plus, they picked up Carl Everett and John Rocker, two of the biggest A-holes in baseball. Everett may be a good player but he's not a TEAM player and hurts morale with his "bling-bling/me first" attitude and MR T. gold chain collection. Everett is also a cheater who refuses to stay in the batter's box (and demanded his last team remove the lines so he could cheat with impunity!). You'll notice the Red Sox are doing much better without him this season...

As for John Rocker... well, we all remember what made him famous, and it sure wasn't his pitching!!! Another morale killer having the most hated man in baseball on your team.

Who the heck is responsible for making these lame-brain decisions anyway? Oh, well. Go Mariners!

I feel the need to correct your assessment. The Texas Rangers bite just a little. My beloved Detroit Tigers SUCK in a manner that far exceeds any level of crappiness displayed by the Rangers .

With that said, I'll second your emotion of, "Go Mariners!"

Hey-but you have to admit, that triple play the other day was cool. Not every day you see a 1-6-2-5-1-4 triple play, is it? (Of course, there were some poor baserunning decisions by the Mariners involved, there, but it was still cool. )

In my corner of the game, looks like my Cubs have decent pitching this year but can't bring their bats to life. It's still early. Too early to be saying "wait til next year", anyway.

The problem with the Rangers is not the pitching. It's not the money spent on A-Rod. It's not Everett and Rocker. It's not Hicks.

It's the uniforms.

A few years ago, when the Rangers -- perennial losers -- changed the primary color of their uniforms from blue to red, they won their first division title in team history. Won three division titles in four years, in fact. Then, when Hicks bought the team, he changed the primary color back to blue. And the team started losing again.

Also, both "red" and "win" contain three letters.
"Blue" and "suck" both contain four letters.
Coincidence? I think not.
