I've met Space Ghost(can't remember the guy's name for some reason...) 3 times now. A local comic con always manages to get him there. The man is absolutly hilarious, and he really DOES talk like Space Ghost. :)
SPACE GHOST RULES!:p

From what I understand Dave Matthews lives in Seattle and sometimes gets groceries at the same Wallingford QFC that I do. Maybe he lives in both or moved from one to the other at some point?

Dave Matthews owns a house in Seattle (his wife was going to nursing school there, I believe) and spends some time there, but he most definitely lives in and calls Charlottesville home (he's raising his twins here). He is the biggest celebrity in town, along with the rest of the band (who all grew up in C'ville, and all still live here). He is always being spotted around town, at the Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream, downtown shopping, or just hanging out. My former boss is the cover designer on all the DMB albums (Thane Kearner, look in the album credits). On the weekends, I work at a store that sells outdoor furniture and country home items, and thats where I first meet them (sold Carter some patio furniture, and helped Dave pick out Christmas gifts), and later met Dave again when he was visiting Thane to discuss cover designs for the "Everyday" album. Believe me, if you live in C'ville, everyone has a DMB story to tell... ;)

I have had a few meetings with some celebs over the years.

When I was little, there was a jeweler named Manoli who used to be a pro wrestler who had an office next to my dad's business. Andre the Giant used to visit him occasionally, and I met Andre on two occasions. I couldn't understand a word he said, but he was really nice to me, and carried me around on his shoulders.

Kathleen Turner's mother lives down the street from my parents, and I have met her on two occasions.

Brad Pitt used to go to the same church I did when I was little, and I remember seeing him quite a bit at church camps, and in the hallways. He was a couple of years older than me though, so I didn't really know him.

I met Bruce Campbell about a year ago when he was at MU for a speaking engagement and signing his book. Really cool guy, but then you'd have to be if your alter-ego was Ash. :D
