At first, I assumed that this had been posted in jest - surely no one would use such poor word variety and ad hominum attacks in a real argument. Then I saw the video from MIT... ouch. There are real people like this out there?

On the MIT lecture, which features the speaker (filmed sideways for some reason) speaking before a crowd of laughing students:

Okay, it's been a long (and not too pleasant) day. Do the sentences on those pages make any sense? Can they be considered proper sentences? I'll be the first to admit that I'm no rocket scientist, but surely my reading comprehension isn't that bad. Maybe the page is done by someone who's first language isn't English? Reading (and trying to make some sort of sense out of) that "stuff" has given me a headache.

The ranting style, pseudo-science and occasional religious references do strongly resemble that found in the literature of the Church of the Sub-Genius. A genuinely fake religion, they usually have a better quality to their materials, but this isn't claiming to be official materials from them.

Check em out some time, it's great stuff for driving people with no sense of humor or the absurd crazy.

Anyway, is this a joke or is it serious? If it's a joke, it's very very funny. If it's serious, it's very very sad. I haven't finished reading the whole thing, but does he ever explain his reasoning behind his theory, or does he just repeat the word "Four" and "Cube" Over and over?

Maybe its me, but cubes have 8 corners and 6 faces, so what does the number 4 have to do with cubes? This guy keeps using 4 over and over to "prove" his theory. But cubes have nothing to do with anything of a 4. Now if if was a hypercube or a square I could see a point. But then again I am educated and therefore ignorant.
