[OT] Geeks Anonymous

I have long heard it said, and I have proselytized the message as well, that the "geek shall inherit the earth." While this is very much so, I also know that we self-proclaimed geeks have accomplished some very cool things throughout our lives. I'd like to see some of the highlights from my fellow ENWorld board members. I'll start . . .

I am a Captain in the US Air Force. I had the opportunity to spend 120 days in Sarajevo, Bosnia-Herzegovina on a Combat Camera mission. While there I got to participate in a mission to take an alleged war criminal to the Netherlands to stand trial.

I also played high school and college football, but that just doesn't seem to be as "cool" as my Sarajevo trip. :p

Show me what you've got, folks.

i am one of those who spends too much of every other thread talking baout my life, but i must say your sarajevo trip sounds like a cool adventure, in-game or out:)

I've starred in an independant film.

I'm like Vin Disel, but with *quality!*

(No offense, man, if you're here...you can beat me up. :))

I marched in both Macy's Thanksgiving Parade (where I got a close up for 10 seconds on National TV) and the Rose Bowl New Years Day Parade.

I... Umm... I beat up the school bullies and took their lunch money! :p

(Okayyy - The part about the lunch money was a lie... :o)

Naw, man. All it means is that the girls who discover the geeks have truly found treasures amidst the rough of mankind.

It means that, in exchange for looking below the surface, they get great kissers, superb sex, and sensitive, intelligent men who actually care about them.

How many cheerleaders can claim they've had all those things in one guy? :)
