Speaking with some friends last night I found out that it is now possible in GA for a couple to adopt and have one member of the couple listed as "Other Parent". They are both female, so one is the "Mother" and her spouse is the "Other Parent". But don't rush into that, enjoy each other for while before bringing kids into the mix.

Just goes to show GA is coming out of the dark ages.

Congratulations!

I got engaged a couple of months ago, and even though we're keeping the wedding relatively modest, it's still amazing what a pain in the butt planning one of these things can be. Oh, but i'll be glad when the planning is over with.

Well hes's christian and im pagan but we both want it in a cool looking church. Episcopalians will do same-sex commitments so we're looking into that.

So far our guest list is about 30 people and we're trying to figure out what we're going to do. A wedding planner will cost a bunch of money so im having some friends and myself planning the party.

There wont be a bacholer party but we've decided that we're all going to go out clubbing and dancing the night before the wedding.

The day after the wedding we'll leave for our honeymoon.

And funny you mentioned that Teflon Billy, my fiance' said i was going to register at the local gaming store LOL.

Thank you all for the kind words, and yes, we will be taking pics and i will be posting them so you all can see. Another ENWorlder getting married. I may go to Origins this year so you all can finally meet me =)

My wife and I got married in Jamaica, at one of those all-inclusive Sandal's Resorts. I highly recommend that. So, while there were no family or friends present, it was way more relaxed, way more simple, and ended up being relatively inexpensive (< $3000).

Congratulations. Getting married can be the best thing you'll ever do.
Don't let anyone get bent up about the Best Man / Maid of Honour thing, I had a 'normal' heterosexual wedding, where my sister was my best man, dress and all. She was the one I wanted, and nobody complained.
May your entire life continue as happy as it possibly can be.
