[OT] I am engaged!!

What Mistwell says. Please, please do the paperwork. I won't harsh your mellow by telling you horror stories of people who didn't. Nolo's stuff is fantastic, and will save you tons of money. (You can do your own paperwork and then run it by an attorney in your state, instead of paying the lawyer to write it up for you.)

I recommend you try the Metropolitan Community Church, if there is one near you, or the Unitarian Universalists.

That's awesome! I wish you the best of luck, and more ups than downs. Try not to go to bed angry, or to fight over the small stuff and you'll be very happy. That last bit seems a little cliche, but it's true.

Also, I figure now is as good a time as any to compliment you on the coolest sig I've seen so far.

No probs Angelsboi - with no cross-gender tension (and therefore no convenient monthly excuse for whichever one of you is the wife to take your frustrations out on the other guy), I can't see why this holy union won't last forever.

Congratulations.

This calls for a glass of pee?

How can you tell it's American beer in that glass?

Congrats, Angelsboi.

I finally met the other team member at my new job (he's been away for 6 weeks on holidays), and found out that he's gay too (although closeted), so at least I don't feel so alone at I usually have.

Now if I could just find someone interested in me :-)

Good luck,

Duncan

...or the Unitarian Universalists.

this was what i was going to suggest. i know of at least 8 churches in the Atlanta area.

and i know how creative you are. so this might appeal to you: you get to write your own ceremony.

they do have marriage counseling and such beforehand. but it is more for working thru the jitters you get not a condemnation of your relationship.

they are very open.

i'll bring you a copy of our ceremony on Sunday.
