You people are sick, I mean 'in need of professional help' kind of sick if you like snow and cold. ;)

Made the national news, our windstorms did. No tractor trailer rigs got blown off the road, but not for lack of trying. Got some sprinkles with it too.

Thanks to the winds the marine layer (low lying clouds that form just off shore and come in at night) is kept at bay, which means the heat can escape after dark. So it'll be getting a tad chilly tonight. In the higher elevations we may see frost.

It's snowed twice at sea level in all the years I've been here. I was 4 the first time. Thanks to a cold I didn't get to see it. The second time I was 14 and got to see it fall. Neither time did it stick. The one time I was in a snow storm I was 12 and it was during 6th grade camp. (A week up in the mountains with fellow pre-teens.) It happened overnight, and the counselors wisely decided to let us sleep.

With any luck we may be getting some rain this rainy season. The low humidity has dried up a lot of the foliage, and most everybody in forestry hereabouts is real worried about wild fire right now. Once the winds have passed a lot of folks are going to be working hard to clear away the deadfall before some fool tosses a cig in it.
