I have Sting. It is still in the box until I can build a nice display case for it. Wifey-pooh got it for me for Christmas. :)

awwwwww.... i wish i had a woman who would get me stuff like that...

But my GF thinks that it is my hobby- and she wants little to nothing to do with it.

but i still love her

As cool as the designs are, I'd have to recommend against getting the LotR weapons replicas.

I've seen them up close, and they've all got "Lord of the Rings" written in big black letters on them somewhere. On Sting, it's at the base of the blade, right before the crossguard. Don't remember where it is on the others.

I can't speak for all of you, but if I'm spending hundreds on a sword, I darn well don't want the brand name plastered across it. Or if they must, they could have done it in tiny, unobtrusive letters like they do when they're putting the country or company of origin on a blade.

Also, I'd never spend that much on a stainless steel blade. Now if they were carbon, that'd be a different story...

Anyway, just my humble O.

I saw that Muesum Replicas has "authorized" LoTR swords in their latest catalog. Not only that but you can actually buy the "One Ring" for only $40.

Bet that just pisses off the Big Dark One.

Sodalis:
Cool site, thanks for the info.

WSmith:
First your birthday, then stories about the great gifts your wife buys you...you've had quite a run :D!!

mouseferatu:
A very fair (and greatly appreciated) criticism. Had I ordered one of these only to find something plastered in big letters all over it, I'd be mightily ticked-off!

Xastalask:
Ditto that request, along with Legolas' bow and quiver ;).

bushfire:
Where? Where?!?
