(OT - Movie) Brotherhood of the Wolf?

Has anyone heard about this movie? Is it as flat-out cool as the commercial I just saw makes it out to be? Fighting & Swashbuckling goodness?

It's extremely cool, though it has its flaws. But definitely a must-see film. I'll see it again when it comes out, for sure.

The fight scenes are a little bit over-cut (obviously, since the director is Western and Western directors (except for McG) ALWAYS overcut fight scenes) and the story gets a little clonky at times, but its a well-done film with some real surprises.

Of course having to live here in the Great White North i'll probably have to end up renting the dang thing. London (Ontario that is ) never seems to get the smaller release movies anymore. Maybe word of mouth will bring this one to us **crossing hooves**

I don't know how these things work internationally, but I know the French version of the DVD was released a couple months ago. ....

Yes, French DVD was released two or three months ago, and the film was (it's a French film) released here a year ago or more...

It's a cool film, a very cool film. With some cool ideas for D&D, a sometime Ravenloft feeling, wonderful fighting scenes, beautiful women, brave men, hideous bad guys and lots and lots of coolness.

I saw this a few months ago in my local multiplex , in French with subtitles!

I liked it a lot.... There is a slow bit in the middle where the film gets all "French" (in the words of my wife) but it has some really great ideas and visuals...

It isn't really a swashbuckler though - more of a Period drama horror HK style martial arts fest.

Jesus... this film hasnt even showed up here ! Video or otherwise... I ´ll try finding it...

I remember a historical story that is very similar to the film plot... famous wolf/beast ... france too. Is this film based on that story ?
