Obviously you should pick a name that the other dogs won't pick up on and make fun of him or her for. Biscuits is right out. Perhaps Meepo would suffice. I have decided (and please do not tell my wife) that our second boy will be named Meepo. I intend to have her so drugged up I can write whatever I choose on the birth certificate and get away with it. Mwuhahaha. See you guys after the divorce. ;)

Hear hear!!

Meepo is an excellent name for a dog.... or a kid!

Why don't you just call her Lady...it's elegant, but fun, easy to say, and even small children can get that word out!... Paladinwife

My dog is named Lady Abagail III, but we usually just call her Lady. Poor girl has a rash and is losing fur like crazy. :(

I know a guy who has a dog named "Kitty"... not so sure about that guy sometimes

The players in my old group used to always name their horses either "Horse" or "Dog." The dire war-cow (the only cow known to have killed an orc) was named Manos, Horns of Fate.

Bah. Orcs have no names. They exist only as fodder.

Basically, the party was hot on the trail of some orcs, when they came across a cow in the middle of the forest, looking frightened. The party druid talked to the cow and figured out that it had run away when orcs attacked its farm. We moved on, but the cow was determined to follow us.

When we eventually found the orcs, the cow managed to get in a good kick before being killed. :)

If you're a RB DM you could go with that all-time favorite:

Stay

No, seriously, think about it!

"Come here, Stay!"
"Stay, Come!"

You could have that poor critter in Doggy Therapy in no time! :D

Hatchling Dragon

Here are some serious suggestions (in no particular, other than the fact that they're spewing out of my skull)

  • Artemis
  • Cleopatra
  • Isis
  • Pandora
  • Athena
  • Sidhe (pronounced SHEE)
  • Xena
  • Mocha
  • Godiva (I know it was mentioned before...but it's really good)
  • Zowie (the dog from Pet Sematary 2)
  • Cuja (female Cujo)
  • Fudge

Ok....I guess it wasn't all serious

Does the dog as of yet show any discernable personality traits (pride, envy, gluttony, lust, anger, greed, sloth, err... or anything postive ;) )

or if all of the above then you can call her "seven" (though that could get confused with seven of nine from ST:Voyager... and that may or may not be a good idea depending on your view point)

But, seriously, any discernable personality traits even at this young age?
