[OT] New G.I. Joe CGI commercial

I dunno sir bob, if they intended it to be cartoony, my feeling is that they should have done it either 2-D or cel shaded. The juxtaposition of the different elements in the commercial did not work for me.

Ah... a traditionalist.

Y'know, I've never understood this prejudice that 3D computer-generated graphics should be used solely to produce photorealistic characters, or not at all. Sure, it lends itself rather well to that particular application, but when you come right down to it, it's just 3D models. The digital equivalent of claymation, fer cryin' out loud. It can look like whatever you want. So why limit yourself to the Jurrasic Park paradigm?
