[OT] New Web Comic Launch!

First Post
Friends!

Allow me to make an announcement of pure self-advertisement.

The new web comic, Code, has been launched today amidst much jubilation (at least amongst two people). I am writing the scripts (and might I say that the plotline is exceptional  ) and a friend of mine is doing the drawings (and they are the only thing better than the plot :D). It is intended to be an eccentric and amusing strip, with some overt anime spoofing, though references to all manner of sources, from Douglas Adams to the Matrix are intended.

Well, it's only the 'cover' today, but the first sketches should be up next Monday, with update every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

I urge you to indulge (and further urge you to vote for our humble strip.)

It should be quite an experience.

If you're really fanatical, there are also forums- just follow the links. Please feel free to use them for comments/feedback/abuse.

Each page on your site took me almost a full 60 seconds to load on my usually speedy DSL connection.

I did not find any content on your site. Exactly what kind of feedback are you looking for?

That's strange. It normally loads fairly quickly, and I only have a 56.6 connection.

As for content, there's not much yet other than concept art and the like. Any comments would be useful though. The main comic should start on Monday, so stay tuned.

Keenspace is so horrible when it comes to bandwidth. That server cramps up worse than EN World during peak volume. Except for the amount of traffic you'll receive by being in a web-comic community, Keenspace is not worth using. Most Keenspace comics that have a strong fanbase have even started using EZ boards for their forums because Keenspace's forums are so intermittent.

You're off to a good start, however. Replace your "beginning" page with something more than "under construction" and look out for a better hosting solution than Keenspace. Even Geocities has better reliability than Keenspace.
