OT - online prehistoric mammals illustrations, anyone?

Because I'd like to add some of them to my campaign setting, I'm curious if anyone knows of any links that feature illustrations of prehistoric mammals. Sure, I can find saber-toothed tigers easily enough, and wooly mammoths, but I'd like to find a site that really features some of the more obscure and unusual beasties that have been dug up over the years.

Anyone know of anything?

there was a topic on this a couple of months past if you are a community supporter you can search for it .....sorry I cant help much more than that ...i used to have a link saved in my favorites folder but I am on a loner computer till mine gets fixed

On a related note, I have a plastic Megatherium (giant ground sloth) that I got at a toy store, in one of those bins of plastic animals. So keep your eye on those if you want miniatures to go with these critters- and cheap, too.

Cheers

Prehistoric Beasts

I use many of these creatures and the ecosystems in my game. And you are right that finding good pictures can be hard to do. Even finding a good book takes some research, and I still haven't found a very good one.

I believe Discovery Channel ran a show called "Prehistoric Beasts". They may have some online graphics archived. This was similar to a series they ran. First they had a show called "Walking with Dinosaurs", and then another show called "The Future is Wild."

Good Luck

Sorry, I replied before checking out the links. The show I was thinking of was BBCs "Walking With Beasts", and you already have a link to it.

If you find more art work in this line, please post it. Thanks.
