[OT] Optimus Prime joins the National Guard

sometimes it's just the naming coincidences that can be funny. at my old job, i remember working with a Tom and a Jerry. when i first started at this job, we had a Wilma and Betty. Betty, of course, also matched up with Veronica quite nicely. ;)
and then there was the time at my old job, where we had a Gary, Larry, Mary, Jerry, and Geri all working there at the same time, and you really had to pay attention to the intercom...

I got a friend who took the name Yoda when he got his passport; he saw that you could take what name you wanted, so he took it on a whim ^^

Hey, even given names can be strange things. Take for example Richard Head, the most unfortunate kid I ever knew back in High School. Close second for my personal "Damn unlucky" award was a girl in my parent's church named Candy Kaine.

True stories; real names. I'd bet either of them would think of Optimus Prime as an improvement... :)

He we had a Richard "Dick" Head in school when I was a sprat too.

Fortunately for the guys ego he was slightly retareded and the gibes didn't stick

The worst I've ever heard, is a little girl who goes to school where my mother works. Her name is AksPita(sub in an H for the P). Yes, that's how it's pronounced.

Also, has another little boy, who's name is SPithead(same substitution). Pronounced Shi-THEED.

I knew a guy who played a dwarf by that name. (Look, ma! We're on topic.) No kidding.

Also, in the "I'm really not making this up" category, I was once introduced to a gal who was named (intentionally) Carry Seamen (not sure of the exact spelling). What's more, she was engaged to a guy named Daley. And her _father_ had talked her into hyphenating her name after marriage.

There are some _sick_ people in this world.

A friend of mine had a great-uncle named General, he got a parade after he came home from World War 2 (nobody noticed that General was his name not his rank). Then there were the twins born a couple of years ago at the local hospital; (Orangejello and Lemonjello).

I once met a guy named States Rights, and in my own family I have cousins named Rebel Lee Davis and Jefferson Davis. Welcome to the south.

Good luck Mr Prime (or Private Prime or whatever), you'll need it when you go back to Cybertron.
