[OT; PICTURE HEAVY] New addition to Djeta and MojoGMs household...

Glad to hear the little guy's doing better, Djeta. And Buttercup, good for you for being such a fantastic rescue parent. If the world were fair, all the money spent on tanks and such would go to breed rescue and shelters. Those people really deserve it.

Djeta, when Monty gets a little older and has some basic obedience, find an agility club or trainer. JRTs LOVE agility and flyball, and it's a great outlet for their energy and drive. Plus, if you want to be competitive, the JRT has great speed! I run my two tollers and thank goodness we don't have to run in the same height group as the JRTs. Then again, we do run with the Border Collies....

Hi all,

Monty is doing excellent. The vet said we caught it early enough and that made all the difference in the world. It was a close call, but he is definately on the mend. He's still coughing up the stuff, trying to clear his throat, but most of the time he is as playful as ever. And he's eating a lot too (and we learned he likes turkey and roast beef).

I'm glad Sprocket is doing well, she is a beautiful dog. I can't believe her old owner would trat her that way.

Thanks everyone for the kind words and support.

This is why ENWorld is the greatest.

Wanted to add a picture of our Lexx, who's ALSO a Carolina dog (as far as we can tell - we got her at the SPCA).
kengar, that's neat that Zeke is one too - I didn't know the breed existed until someone on the boards, on the LAST thread where we posted our pets' pics, mentioned that she looked like one.
Was that you who mentioned it before?

If only you could freeze dogs as puppies, and cats as kittens...

Appearance wise, yes, behavior wise- no damned way. I much prefer my 2 year old dog now than when she was a puppy. She was an incarnation of the tasmanian devil that peed alot. Now she is much calmer than before and much less trouble.

Thanks. And yes, I've heard of flyball and I think as he gets big enough, we will definately check that out. Right now, however, I'm working on getting him back to full health , which today he seems to be acting more "healthy pup" than "sick pup" and also, getting him to go down the stairs. Right now, he's horrified of them.

Thank you all for your wonderful posts, thoughts and all. You are the greatest!

Djeta, it's good to hear that you're little one is improving.

And as I can't let this thread pass without showing off my own little zoo, I present:
Zoe, our 5 or so year old terrirer-ish SPCA dog (2 years with us)

Tristan, another SPCA rescue, they think he's 3. We've had him 4 months, since he was found in a house with 6 cats and his dead owner.

and finally, the cats that came with the house as kittens when we bought it 8 years ago, Nicodemus (left) and Taliesan (right).

I KNOW I shouldn't, but I have to: is he a flesh-eating ghoul dog?

If so, I feel sorry for his former owner, and I'm not sure I'd sleep well at night if I were you, but he's a very cute flesh-eating ghoul dog! :D

That could explain the whole, "pirates of the Carribbean in the moonlight" thing he has goin' on. :p

Actually, he's neurotic, epilieptic, and totally adorable. Heck, he even grew on Zoe!

Sadly, the cats he once lived with did not fare so well. :(
