OT - Remember the "V" mini-series?

Actually, they already did a part 2 shortly after the original. This new one, if it happens, will be part 3.

I loved V as a kid. I'd be curious to see if it holds up now.

Originally, there were two mini-series and a regular series that lasted for one season. They all rocked. Especially cool was the way the TV series would begin most episodes with a brief newscast about the state of the resistance around the world, complete with coded messages to various resistance cells.

Unfortunately, TV Guide is reporting that the new movie is going to take up 20 years after the ORIGINAL mini-series and ignore the second mini and the TV show. That sucks, if you ask me, especially since Kenneth Johnson, the creator, was involved in all of the incarnations.

That also doesn't bode well for a return of Michael Ironside, since his character wasn't introduced until the second mini-series. On the other hand, it should get rid of all that hokey Star Child stuff the series introduced...

I have to admit, that was funny. Even the local station (KHON) that aired V decided to get in on the action by cutting to the newsroom and have the camera trained on the TV news anchor/actor lies faint on the floor, just after they revealed the ugly lizard baby.
