[OT] Setting Bios?

I happened to merge two partitions in the wrong way last week, and thus need to reinstall Windows via CD. I'm told I have to change the bootupdrive to my CD drive in BIOs but I'm not sure how to do that.

Actually, I have two computers to reinstall anew now that I remember. Last week wasn't that good for me.

It isn't always necessarily to do that. Just try to insert the CD and reboot. I think it will work just fine.

What they are talking about is the boot order, 9 times out of 10, its set for A: drive, Cdrom drive and then C: drive.

If you find that you can't get your computer to boot off of the CDrom drive and can't figure out how to get into your bios and change the boot order, try getting a windows 98 emergancy boot disk. Any win 98 machine can make a windows 98 boot disk, you just need a floppy disk. If you don't know how to do thi check the help files in win 98.

Windows 98 Emergancy boot disks come with CD rom drivers setup on them automatically. o when you boot from them, thye will allow you to access your cd rom and them setup windows.
