I have no idea what this is supposed to mean. But, it occurs to me that if a mod locked this thread, you could get a neat doppler effect as it slid down the page...

How soon we forget!

I've lamented the fact that Skurge never took his rightful place amongst the Iconic characters.

And whatever happened to Imsh, Krusk's twin brother (apparently), who was a multiclass Rogue/Barbarian?

Skurge lives. Oh, yes, he lives!

Mmmmm, trolly goodness.
Not exactly trolling... this is something of an "in joke" for those who were active on the WotC usenet channels round about late 1999 through early 2000 (prior to the release of 3e, when we were still getting little bits and pieces). There's no way to explain why this is funny... possibly to the point of gut-splitting hilariousness... you had to be there.

Of course, it eventually devolved to the point that if someone got sick of a thread, they would just "Skuurge" it and everything else got drowned out in a chorus of Skuurges, effectively killing the thread. At least that practice hasn't crossed over. :)

Although apparently only about half a dozen of us that were there are here in the ENWorld community. I recognize Enrious and Eric, but that seems to be it. Sadly, the worship of Skurge Dwarfbane, demigod of war, appears to be dying out. *sniff*

*shrug* We cannot forget what we never knew in the first place, Colonel. I've never frequented a WOTC usenet channel, where Sigil says the thing came from.

*suddenly realizes that in internet terms, this is several lifetimes ago*

Wow. Having a kid makes me feel old. But this makes me feel old, too. :(
