[OT]Sorry to disrupt, but I have a favor to ask...

Neither me or my family is very religious, but I'd like to ask anybody who is, regardless of religion, to say a prayer for my grandma. She died last night and I just found out today when I got home from work.

Losing people sucks, especially once you're old enough to understand what's going on.

Dont worry about disturbing us, blackshirt!

My condolences, and I wish you and your family strenght, in the days ahead.

Peace, Maldur!

Does it seem really cruel to go to game tonight, considering that I literally have nothing that I can do to help(she died at her home in Florida, and I'm in New Jersey, my father and his siblings are going down to help out grandpa), or should I go to take my mind off of stuff?

Do what YOU feel is best. Your Grandma is gone, so she doesn't care one way or the other. I'm sure she would want you to do what made you happy.:)

Couple of things: Firstly, I pray personally every morning and every night and then with my family every morning and every night so it's not a disruption in the slightest. Secondly, you seem to be taking this pretty well, and that is good. Going and gaming isn't cruel at all. Everyone mourns in their own unique way. Roleplaying is cathartic for some folks, and maybe you are one of them. At any rate, getting back to normal at a time of loss is usually a standard encouragement. Go game, have fun, and if there is too much on your mind to continue the session, apologize, excuse yourself and feel no shame in that either. Hang in there and know your family and grandma are being remembered in the hearts and minds of my family.

Thoughts are with you....

Thanks Harlock(and MEG Hal). I've pretty much set on gaming tonight, since there's literally nothing I can do(her plot has been reserved for years, for example), and it doesn't do anybody any good to have me stiring in this, being more depressed than I usually am.
