[OT]Strange Town Names

I can't believe these names are real. I am getting my Atlas. I always knew coming up with good names was an under appreciated art.

Edit: I tried to look up Blueballs PA - found Blue Bells PA
I could not find Intercourse PA or Horneytown NC. I think these are false. I am using a business Atlas.

I can vouch for Intercourse, PA :D

Better check Lancaster County, PA. It's west of Philly. I live about 30 minutes from it.

On Yahoo...

Oh and my husband grew up near Succasunna, NJ.

"Suck a what?"

Here in Indiana we have a few, some more well know than others.

The one most have heard of is of course French Lick, IN

We also have:
Daylight, IN to go along with Starlight, IN
When you need a friend we have Bud, IN
I personaly like Gnaw Bone, IN

The thing is, these places (the PA ones) are pretty small and might not be deemed worthy of being in an atlas. ;)

How about:

Knob Lick, KY

Or

What Cheer, IA
Good to see my personal favorite, "What Cheer, IA" on the list. Do you know if they still have a pottery outlet there? My grandfather used to buy anatomically correct ceramic frogs there. Well, they were anatomically correct for humans, but they were frogs. Only in What Cheer, IA.

There are a few rad ones in Kentucky. Off the top of my head, we have Ape Yard, KY. As well as Egypt, KY. What's more strange is that all the locals prounounce it "Egg-wiped", no kidding.

Sort of how a suburb of Lexington, called Versailles, is pronounced "Ver-sails" by the locals.

Damn Kentuckicans. :D

Edit: I forgot about the infamous Big Bone Lick, KY.
