Well, out of 20 people in the first Hall Of Residence I lived in at university, no less than FOUR were called Dave.

So they rapidly acquired nicknames:
Dancing Dave
Football Dave
Geek Dave
Other Dave

Other Dave was an entirely nice person, just not particularly memorable.

And we have of course failed to mention the Best Dave Evar...

DAVE LISTER! Inventer of the fried-egg-chilli-chutney-sandwich! Drinking of beer! All round Dude! Beer swilling maniac! Need I go on?!

There's a Dave in my gaming group. Hulking Australian fellow. Pretty cool guy all around. I don't really know that many other Daves...but Dave_O is definately the coolest, in a Johnny Rotten kinda way.
