[OT] Thrice in a decade...

&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp The upcoming MLB "World Series" between the San Francisco Giants and the Anaheim Angels will be the third NoCal-SoCal championship meeting in a major league in the past decade, following Super Bowl XXIX and MLS Cup 2001.

&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp Unless, of course, you count LA's defeat of SF in the first and only XFL Bowl or whatever it was called - although I suppose in this case we should only include leagues that are still in existence. ;)

I hate baseball...and yet even I am looking forward to this world series. I cannot believe the Angels are in the series, after all the crap they have had to deal with from ownership over the last couple of years. And playing against a Northern California team makes it even more interesting.

I'm just looking for a some good games. My team (Pirates) is usually out of contention around May or June.

Poor Crothian... as a long time Angels fan, I completely understand.

I was 8 the last time the Angels were in the playoffs before this year.

On the bright side, Brian Giles is a darn good player.
